A Vibrant Wedding at Glen Magna Farms
When I first met Sepi and Matt for coffee over a year before their wedding, I just knew we were a great fit. They wanted documentary-style photography so that they could enjoy their wedding day just as it was instead of spending time posing for photos.
They married on the perfect September day. It was warm and sunny with the most gorgeous blue sky above. Their easy-going personalities, love for the details, and group of amazing friends makes this wedding one of my favorite memories.
The following photos and clips are a mix of digital, 35mm film, 120 film, and Super 8 film.
The Wedding Day
Getting Ready
The couple got ready separately at their venue. I photographed the bride and her crew while my second photographer documented the guys getting ready.
The First Look + Portraits
The couple had a sweet first look nestled among the trees at Glen Magna. My entire team had the biggest smiles on their faces when the two embraced for the first time. We then spent some time taking portraits of the two of them. Like all of my couples, they wanted their photos to feel natural and fun.
Wedding Party Portraits
The shades of red and pink came to life on film.
The Ceremony
As the sun set, the couple stood in front of their family and friends declaring their love and promise to one another.
Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hour was held on the lawn in front of the house immediately following the ceremony. Cocktail hour is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. I love documenting the big hugs, loud laughter, and sweet reunions that often take place during this time.
The Reception
Sepi and Matt’s reception was pure FUN. The speeches from their maid of honor and best man were a hit, summoning loud bursts of laughter and a few tears. The dance floor filled up immediately and their guests sang and dance until the last song.
