An Elopement Fit for the Big Screen

Going to the movies has always been one of my favorite things to do. Some of my favorite memories growing up involve going to the movies with my parents or visiting our local Blockbuster every Friday night with my dad. So I was thrilled when Sowmya and Zach inquired for photo + Super 8 coverage for their Coolidge Corner elopement.

The following photos and clips are a mix of digital, 35mm film, 120 film, and Super 8 film.

Coolidge Corner Theatre

Portraits

Sowmya and Zach love movies and they specifically love visiting the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline. As a wedding gift, Sowmya surprised Zach by purchasing two seats in the theatre. Once the new chairs are installed, their names will be engraved on plaques on two side-by-side seats. As part of the first look, Sowmya was able to pull off this incredible surprise!

Afterwards, we spent time soaking in the moment and taking portraits around the theatre.

The Ceremony

After leaving Coolidge Corner, we went to Sowm + Zach’s Airbnb for their ceremony, first dance, and cake. Their dog, Riley, was so excited to be included in their special day!

The details, the vows, the quiet moments...every part of this day was simply perfect. We feel honored Sowm and Zach chose us to document their elopement and will hold the memories of this day close for a long time.
