A Boston Globe Feature: A Dreamy Long Island, New York Wedding Weekend

It was a sunny weekend in late August when Amanda and David hosted their family and friends for their wedding weekend in Long Island, New York. It was an intimate gathering, with stories and laughter shared as Amanda and David promised to love one another forever.

The Night Before
The night before the wedding, Amanda and David hosted a welcome dinner for close family and friends. The gathering was complete with homemade pizza, games, and emotional speeches shared by parents and siblings.
The Wedding Day
Getting Ready + First Look
On the morning of the wedding, the couple got ready for the day separately then met for a private first look and vow reading. It was so emotional for me to capture this and I, admittedly, had to wipe a tear or two from my eye as I documented this intimate time.
The Ceremony
Their ceremony was held in a close family member’s backyard, and was far from the traditional ceremony set-up. Instead, Amanda and David placed their closest family and friends directly behind them, with their remaining loved ones seated across the pool. It was a beautiful, intimate setting that truly resembled a work of art.
The Reception
Their reception was held at Salumi Tapas and Wine Bar in Massapequa. The tables were adorned with fruit, candles, and flowers in vintage vases.
Halfway through the reception, the couple changed outfits - Amanda to a stunning red dress and David to a polo and casual dress pant.
Amanda and David’s wedding weekend was absolutely perfect. The laughter, the amazing food, the dancing - I am sure these are memories that will last them and their guests a lifetime. I know I will keep this day close to my heart for a very long time.
